I. Arthur was going to bring him in a lot of trouble because as Francis would've said: no one ever really recovers when having loved.
II. Why can't a king love his queen? Alfred is heartbroken as he finds out Arthur has the Spade's birthmark, because what will this mean for their future together?
III. Arthur enjoys life at the Palace, but Alfred is still searching for answers. No one will let him in on anything about the Queen's future, because everyone has a worry of their own; the kingdom is dying and the King is nowhere to be found.
IV. Despite the smiling faces he saw in town, despite the flowers which bloomed and died according to the season, he constantly felt enslaved by the thought of once kneeling by a tombstone carrying Arthur's name.
V. By fate he was a King with grave responsibilities, but by choice still a boy clinging onto the hope of innocent love.
