Queen Cartia, who has always been sidelined by the king’s affection toward his consorts, dies with the words “I feel like dying would be better.” However, she awakens three years earlier, before many of her suffering began. Aware of her limited time (three years before she’s destined to die again), she decides: instead of serving as a “decoration queen,” she’ll live for herself. She throws off the trappings of her royal role and embarks on a life lived on her own terms.
