The Guardian of the Velloise Empire, the “Hero.”

For a time so long the world changed countless times over,
the Hero protected the Empire, bound to the Imperial family’s command.

It had no proper name.

Most people did not even know if the Hero truly existed,
so there was no honor, no praise.

The Hero was nothing more than a dog on the Imperial family's leash.

After finally sealing the Mad Dragon, the Hero was in turn sealed away by the royals. It was ten years later that the Hero opened its eyes again.

It was in a wedding hall, in the body of a bride: Rosanne, the illegitimate daughter of Duke Leilaten.

Though the body was different, for some reason, the power bound to the Hero’s soul remained.
Even the Hero did not know how such a thing was possible.

"Is this... my wedding?"

There were no swords or demonic beasts, no corpses or blood!
This was nothing like the past, which was spent treading over countless dead on blood-soaked battlefields.

"The world... the world is so vibrant..."

Tears of emotion welled up at the first taste of peace.

"What's wrong with her?"
"I don't know. She must've finally lost her mind, getting sold off into a marriage like this."

The maids whispered as they watched the quietly weeping Rosanne, looking at her as if she were insane.

Right. First things first, let's wreck this wedding I'm being sold off to.

"Today's wedding is canceled, Duke. My groom-to-be is a pervert, and I don't happen to like perverts."
